Robeez are at the pricey end of the toddler shoe spectrum, so I splurge on them infrequently, but I'm always glad when I do. They are worth the investment. First, their shoes last forever. Most of my daughters Robeez have been handed down to her and we will be passing them on after she grows out of them. They don't fall apart like some cheaper shoes.
This was my first time buying the Tredz line (their firmer soled line) and I have been very pleased with them. The soles are stiff enough to provide protection on hard ground and protect my daughters feet from getting wet, for example, but aren't too stiff to impede walking since she's still toddling and prone to tripping when she wears stiffer shoes.
The straps are easy to put on and off and yet have good staying power, unlike some velcro straps that my daughter can rip off in about 2 seconds.
This particular pair is very cute--and thankfully not overly "precious" either since we're not that into really girly-girl stuff. The black bows are decorative without being overly obnoxious and the leather is a pretty deep crimson that isn't overly bright. These were perfect for the holidays and will take her through the winter too.
A word about sizing: My daughter is a little small for her age but not THAT small. At 20 months I figured she would need the 18 months size, but those actually SWAM on her. I wound up buying the 12-16 month sizes which she still fits in perfectly at 22 months. The "US Toddler size" that is given after the age range (for example, this pair sayd 12-16 Months (US Toddler 4-5M) is the more accurate of the two, in my opinion. The shoes are close to a 4-5, when compared to other shoes, so I would go by those numbers and not the age range.
