I bought these shoes for my daughter when she was 11 months old. She started walking when she was 9 months old and I had difficulty finding a good walking shoe for her. These ones were a hit. She loves them and gets so excited when I get them out of her closet. They do seem to fit a bit big but my daughter didn't seem to mind and they stayed on her feet with the elastic backs without any problem. She eventually did grow into them and now I am searching for my second pair of Robeez trenz. Honestly I was a bit skeptical about paying so much for a childrens shoe that they would outgrow in no time but it was well worth the price.
And my daughter is always grabbing them out of her stack of shoes and indicating she wants to wear them. Appearance-wise - they are adorable. Now if they just fit.
First off these shoes are HUGE for my 18 month old and the size I bought indicates 16-20 months. They are substantially larger than her other Tredz a size smaller. No way she can transition growing out of one size to the next. So they are up on the shelf probably at least until next spring. (She is wearing a size 6 in everything else.)
Second the fit just isn't right, which is disappointing since I am a die-hard Robeez fan for infants. The toe box is very "thin" and doesn't accomodate my daughter's "thicker" foot. This is hard to explain, but from the floor to the top of the shoe needs to be much taller for this age group.
Overall I am disappointed and am unlikely to buy another pair of Robeez Tredz.
